Do you have a special talent in writing or brilliant ideas to developed a certain keywords into a thousand words? Do you understand well about programming and you feel like you don’t make enough money? Are you a good salesman? Are you good in designing logo? If you do and you are one of them, I told you, you can make a lot of money out of it. Maybe you haven’t known the secret yet, but I’ll guide you to it.

Why not be a freelancer for good?

Maybe you will think, bullshit, freelancers have to compete and there are thousands of them out there. Getting one project is not easy! You are right. When you signed up to a website for freelancers, let’s say, GetAFreelancer.com, you are not making a good money out of it. Because sometimes you are hired and sometimes you are not. Do you want to know the strategy to get projects? I will tell you some, because this is my personal experience.

When I was freelancing a year ago, I didn’t think freelance is a good job actually. It is very tiring and sometimes I work until midnight because I have deadline in the morning. Being a freelancer, you are getting nice payment, but damn… the work is hard. It is never ending bidding. Yes, if you signed up to GetAFreelancer.com, Odesk.com, Elance.com, or any other freelancer websites, you have to compete with other freelancers to bid the fastest and the lowest. Yes, sometimes you are so eager to get a job, you always bid low and so many times, you even didn’t get picked!

This is what you can do.. First, set your account to receive notices via email or RSS feeds when a new project is posted. So, you can hurriedly bid to it. The key to getting the job is to send the job owner a private message. Offer him your work sample and give him your contact information. However, don’t use a template reply for every single project you bid on. Instead, modify your message to reflect the actual project specifications and address all the questions that are specifically asked by the job owner. And then if the job owner replies and you gave him your work sample, if you really what he’s looking for, you must be hired. That is the easiest (and dumbest) way that I did previously, but I can tell you, IT WORKS! You may consider to accept low pay to start off with. Build up a good list of regular clients to start with and you could ask more for your work once your popularity rises.

To make things short, after getting a job, I believe you will face the tiring and exhausting days of working. But, I tell you what, you have to do a great job and make a good impression as a diligent hard worker. Don’t make any silly and unresolvable mistakes, instead,  get focus on your works. The job owner will give you the next job and regularly you will work for him.

This is where my secret starts…

freelance

You can begin to post some jobs for local freelancers who are paid lower than you are. Yes, you’re right, you are going to give local freelancers the project that you got from the job provider and pay them less than the actual job owner pay you. This time you are the job owner. You bid some projects and let others work for you. Ask them to work as best as they can. And after that, you can relax and enjoy yourself when others are working wearyingly for you. This idea will really useful and give you really good income if you are living in developing country with lower salary standard.

Not a bad online money making idea, I heard? Indeed…!

What do you think? Have you ever done your freelancing job and make some money from it?

Later, I will post some tactics and strategies you can use to successfully win jobs in these freelancing areas…
